Pro Bono

TT&A is proud of its commitment and contribution towards development goals and social objectives, such as financial inclusion, environmental protection and social justice. Our lawyers are very conscious and motivated by the support we can provide to the social sector based on our professional expertise.

We regularly work with both domestic and international NGOs in relation to their philanthropic and social impact operations. Our assistance has ranged from helping NGOs setting up an India presence and dealing with personnel issues to legal and regulatory concerns around specific projects being undertaken by them, such as filming vulnerable groups in connection with conservation efforts and undertaking water conservation efforts; to impact investors on the regulatory regime around social entrepreneurship, a guarantee backed loan program to facilitate low income access to water and various matters relating to microfinance in India. We also advise, together with international law firms, on human rights related advocacy efforts around the world, and have helped collate Indian law relevant to amnesty from prosecution and juvenile law reform in Somalia.

We also support our clients in relation to their CSR activities and ESG commitments. We have helped with establishing internal trusts for channeling CSR spend and regularly advise clients on the CSR regime and obligations more broadly. We have also helped clients draft and implement employee benefits, workplace safety and sexual harassment policies.
